The Maker’s Story

Hi, I’m Soumi Dutta — the artist and founder of OMKRAFT.

My artistic journey began during one of the most challenging chapters of my life, a time marked by personal loss and feeling deeply stuck. In those moments, picking up a brush became my refuge. With every stroke, the weight of worry and pain slowly began to dissolve.

What started as a way to heal soon transformed into a deeper purpose. I began to explore art more intentionally — connecting with collectors, galleries, and mentors around the world to understand the true transformative and healing power of creativity.

Through this journey, I discovered that art not only heals but also guides. Today, I carry that understanding into my work, my community, and my teaching — helping others find direction, calm, and self-expression through art, just as I once did.

As I continue to grow as an artist, I remain deeply grateful to be part of so many lives, helping people discover beauty, hope, and possibility through color and creation.
